Super Simple DIY Awning for Canopy Shell Camping

Without a good way to mount a "real" awning on the back of my truck topper, I ended up circling back to adapt the DIY awning from my Forester to work with my new setup. While this exact approach may not work for all truck/canopy configurations, here’s what worked for me and hopefully it can give you some ideas for creating a solution that works for you.
