EU leaders area threatening to take tough new action against Belarus and its President Alexander Lukashenko, who they accuse of deliberately sending migrants into neighbouring countries.
The European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, said Belarus was guilty of “state-sponsored people-smuggling”
President Alexander Lukashenko is accused of bringing migrants into his country, then sending them across the border into Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
