Fugitive task force searching for accused killer who failed to show for trial

The man accused of killing two Tampa grandparents is a wanted fugitive. After rejecting a plea deal, Joseph Obregon failed to show up for trial Monday.

Prosecutors say Obregon is trying to run away from his past. On December 5, 2017, Obregon is accused of spinning his tires and revving his engine on his 2012 Dodge Ram pickup and racing and another pickup truck on Sligh Avenue in Tampa. Two people died after the ensuing crash.
