Even in 2019 age gap relationships still have the power to make people stop and stare, no matter how sincere the feelings involved. In this Love Don’t Judge special we meet four couples out to show that age is just a number. Stefani, 24, and Don, 69, are married with a one-year-old son. Mindy and Larry Mikla met when retired police officer Larry was the first responder to a minor traffic incident involving Mindy’s car and are now aiming to reverse Larry’s vasectomy and try for a baby – despite the 30 year age difference. Mason Reese, 54 and Sarah Russi, 26, turn heads when they go out in public - not least because she’s a model and he’s a 54-year-old who rides a mobility scooter. Julia Zelg, a 24-year-old YouTuber and singer, met political correspondent Eileen De Freest, age 61, on Tinder. Although their 37-year-old age gap means they are sometimes mistaken for grandmother and granddaughter, the couple have become inseparable, with Eileen flying to Julia’s home country Brazil, to meet Julia’s mother – who is eight years younger than Eileen - for the very first time.
