Boris is ready to ‘push the red button’, the EU panics to accept the Brexit deal.
The EU is increasingly concerned about an explosive escalation of the Brexit conflict with the UK, around the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol. Britain went on to insist that large parts of the trade mechanism must be completely overhauled for it to function properly, a request the EU has strongly rejected so far.
BORIS JOHNSON has hit the "red button" as the UK prepares to trigger the potentially destructive Article 16 in a bitter Brexit dispute with the European Union, with Brussels "preparing for the worst.
Intensive talks in recent days between the two sides on the issue have collapsed, raising the possibility of the UK losing patience and triggering Article 16.
