This gives you an either or situation when asking for the deal. One of the reasons why salespeople fail is they give buyers too many choices to choose form. When you use psychology in sales the right way you can close more deals. This is one of the old school sales techniques that does work for the long term. There are good closing techniques in sales that do work and are not cheesy. This alternative choice close is one of the sales strategies and tactics that work well when you do not apply too much pressure in your sales presentation. Going for an alternative choice of decision making does allow you to get the buyer to an option they like. If you offer too may options the buyer will end up telling you I want to think about it.
