Flying Scotsman Down Under (1988-1989) 1 HOUR!

Inspired from TheUnluckyTug’s Flying Scotsman USA tour video.

In 1988, Australia was celebrating 200 years of British settlement and to mark this occassion, events were made to celebrate. Including Aus Steam ‘88 in Melbourne, Victoria with locomotives all over Australia invited to celebrate the railway’s contribution to the development of Australia with special guest Flying Scotsman from the UK.

See the famous locomotive travelling around states such as New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia and to Alice Springs in Northern Territory. See it working alongside locomotives including Australia’s most famous steam locomotive 3801 through rare photographs and footage.
