Dewhurst delight for 2000 Guineas favourite Native Trail - Racing TV

Another Group 1 race, another Group 1 win for the Charlie Appleby-trained colt. Native Trail underlined his Classic credentials by extending his unbeaten record to four in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. Hugely impressive on his racecourse introduction at Sandown in June, the colt had then landed the Superlative Stakes on Newmarket’s July Course before successfully graduating to Group 1 level in the National Stakes at the Curragh. Here, he enhanced his claim to be champion juvenile with a decisive success after briefly looking in trouble. Dubawi Legend and Bayside Boy chased him home.
